Why script does not work? "creating test directory.....TEST NOT PASSED".
The basic mistake - the rights 777 on a folder are not put, in which is executed script and on the directory, where the files are unpacked. The exception does not make the root of a www-folder (if in it there is a unpacking or the script executed). The rights 777 are necessary only for work of the script.
The script asks the password at an input. What to enter?
By default a login/password are established in name/pass. To change it is possible in the beginning of a script. Enter in $name = "; your login, and in $pass = "; the password. The inquiry about the password can be disabled absolutely, having established 0 variables $auth ($auth=0;).

Probably you pack many files and/or these files of very big size. To prevent a mistake, it is necessary after a line /******************** conf ********************/ to insert set_time_limit (X); , where X - time in seconds. (usually suffices 100-1000).
